Frequently Asked QuestionsDo you sell your artwork? How do I buy your collages? I do sell original artwork, primarily from my website. While I have displayed my work in other art galleries, I have stopped showing my work while focusing my attention on writing my book. If there is a particular piece that you are interested in, please contact me directly. Do you teach classes or have a book? Where can I get more instruction? I have recently completed a book entitled "Handmade Paper Collage" that will be available in late fall 2002 (published by Sterling Publications). I will update this site once a more specific availability date is known. Please look for it in your local bookstores. I may be offering a series of classes at the beginning of 2003 based on projects from the book locally here in Boise, Idaho. Please contact me directly if you are interested in hosting/planning classes at your location. I can’t find polyvinyl acetate adhesive and no one seems to know what it is. Where can I find it? What brand name do you use? This glue is not typically available in the big craft store chains, but is often available where bookmaking supplies are sold. Check rubber stamping shops or fine art supply shops. My favorite PVA glue is ordered on-line from www.fascinating-folds.com. It is simply called PVA. Where do I find the mica or crushed stone that you use on some of the collages? There are a variety of companies that make this. Once again, rubber stamping shops are a great source for this type of thing, often found with paper-making supplies. USArtQuest (www.usartquest.com ) makes a nice line of these called PerfectFX. Crushed stone is available at woodworking supplies stores; look for inlay materials. I can’t find the variety of papers that you showed; where can I find them? There are many, many on-line sources of beautiful papers. I order almost all of my paper on-line. Locally, I can find a good selection at the fine art supplies store so you might check at this type of store near you. My shop has a book that has samples of the papers in it, so unless you know they carry these large artisan sheets, you might overlook them. A few of my favorite sources of papers on-line are www.artpaper.com, www.dickblick.com and www.fascinating-folds.com. |
